I'm a UK-based Spanish teacher, and I teach the Spanish spoken in Spain: Castilian Spanish 🇪🇸. My motto is simple: "Learning is fun when it's silly."
How it started 🏡
My journey with Spanish began when I was 12. I didn't start at school. My grandparents had bought a house in Catalonia, in the north-east of Spain, but didn't speak any Spanish, so I taught myself Spanish and Catalan to help them out.
I didn't take Spanish at GCSE, but I never lost my love for it. When it was time for A-Levels, my local college tested my Spanish and let me take it, alongside English. That set me on the path to university and, in time, to teaching.
Catalonia is still a big part of my life today.
What I do now 🧑🏫
I've been teaching Spanish privately for 10 years. Along the way I've built up a big collection of my own resources, shaped by all the different teaching styles and techniques I've come across.

How I teach 💡
Most people forget words because nothing anchors them. So I give every word a sentence or a trick that makes it stick, and I'm not afraid of a silly sentence or two 😂. Learning should be relaxed and enjoyable, because when it's fun, it stays with you.
