GCSE Spanish questions 🤔

What's the difference between Foundation and Higher?

Foundation covers grades 1 to 5. Higher covers grades 4 to 9. Students sit all four papers (listening, speaking, reading and writing) at the same tier. Your child's teacher will usually advise which tier to sit. The free guide explains it in more detail.

Which exam boards do you cover?

The free guide covers AQA and Pearson Edexcel, the new GCSE with first exams in summer 2026. Not sure which board your child is on? Ask their Spanish teacher, it's usually on the school website too. My content isn't endorsed by any exam board.

How do in-person lessons help with GCSE?

One-to-one, we can spend the time on exactly what your child finds hard, and do lots of speaking practice out loud, which is tricky to do alone. I can't promise grades, but I'll make the practice regular, clear and fun.

Do you teach GCSE Spanish online?

No. My lessons are in person in Basildon only. For practice at home, use the app and the free guide.

Is it Spain Spanish?

Yes, Spain Spanish (Castilian), the Spanish you'll hear in Spain, vosotros and all. Here's the difference.

How much are lessons?

Prices depend on the lesson, so please message me. The first lesson is a free trial.

¡Mucha suerte! Good luck with the exams. Get in touch any time.
